Go Cart Race 2017

We have always been heavily involved in the Framlingham Go Cart race.

Lastyear we were heavily involved with the Race that was back to its original venue of the Market Hill in Framlingham. We are hoping that there will also be another one in September at Framlingham College run by the First Deben Scout Group.

Here are some pictures taken by Simon Garrett of the May 2016 event:

Last year it was on Sunday 13th September at Framlingham College and was  run by the 1st Deben Valley Scout group with us at FAYAP running the actual racing.. We had a larger start ramp which proved popular.

Here are Tim's pictures of another great day.

Here are some pictures from Moggy of a great day last year:

We built 2 Go Carts here at FAYAP during our after school drop in sessions and we managed to borrow the Thomas Mills Cart for a right cheeky chappie. The Project Manager found a lovely trailer to keep them in and borrowed all the tools and parts that we needed. Anyone was welcome to join us and we  helped them build their own carts, with one of our team doing welding when required.

Here are Tim Speight's lovely pictures of a great fun day in 2013:

Here is a large gallery of photos, including some of those above and some from races elsewhere. There are some great carts and some great crashes!

The links below will give you documents and forms to look at and print out if you want to know any more for next year. It is unlikely that the rules will change much for 2015.
